One of the things I love most is the connection between Luke and Leia and Padmé and Anakin. Throughout the prequels and the originals, you can see how much of their parents they inherited, and since they were not filmed or written chronologically, I think that gives points to the writers. Even though some parts of the scripts for the prequels were a little bit odd, it's great when it comes to family resemblance. Luke seeing the good in Darth Vader, the way Padmé wanted to see the good in Anakin, Leia being a literal princess and politician like her mother, being skilled with words like her father, and Luke picking up Anakin's lightsaber. All those moments work as references that make the prequels feel connected to the originals, like we're really seeing the parents and then their children
